One of the joys of iPhoneography is that there is always a challenge. If you ever feel a little lacking in ideas then just look at any one of a number of specialist mobile photography sites and you will find an opportunity to join a project. The inspiration for this Green Vase iPhoneography image was the Green weekly Challenge being run by New Era Museum on EyeEm.

Thank you to New Era Museum for choosing to feature my image. The workflow follows together with links and more information about New Era Museum and their ever changing weekly challenge.

Update: ‘Green’ featured by The App Whisperer

I was honoured that my iPhoneography image ‘Green’ was selected to be featured by The App Whisperer in their weekly Flickr Group showcase.

We have put together another very special Flickr group showcase , our sixteenth of 2013 with some of our favorite images and some great new talent that have been uploaded to our Flickr group – Mobile Photography & Imagery, this week. The quality of submissions continues to rise, so we have decided to make our showcases that much bigger to incorporate as much of this stunning mobile art and photography as we can and to get it out to a wider audience.

Update: ‘Green’ featured in the Best Mobile Photography and Art Images of 2013 by The App Whisperer.

I was honoured (and surprised) that my iPhoneography image ‘Green’ was selected to be featured by The App Whisperer in their curated round up of the best mobile photography images of 2013.

We have just completed this epic showcase of The Best Mobile Photography and Art images of 2013. All of these images were in our favourites section of our Mobile Photography & Imagery Flickr Group. We have painstakingly worked our way through over 5,500 favourited images, from an original 71,000. No mean feat but by viewing this showcase you are assured of viewing the immense talent within the mobile photography and mobile art community. It is incredibly impressive.

Please do note that we have not been able to include everyones favourited images, there’s just too many, we have had to be very selective to condense it. Please be assured that if any of your images are in the Mobile Photography & Imagery favourited section, they’re there for one reason and one reason only, because they’re extremely good.

We really hope you enjoy this showcase, it has been great to compile and see how each artists’ images and ideas have changed through the months of 2013. These images represent every month of 2013, it really is an incredible showcase.

I love the process, and the result. I was surprised to find such a high contrast starting image. Excellent work as always Paul!

    • Skip says:

Thank you Jacob. Yes, the detail you can pull out of the jpeg is amazing really. The starting image is back-lit with natural light so the subject is slightly silhouetted. The clean background is always really helpful with this style. Any issues with enhancement are always corrected by the processing with additional layers and textures.
